Your Spouse Has No Business Doing The Laundry

While extra help with household chores is a welcomed thing, something that you want to encourage, laundry is not for everyone. Some minor mistakes here and there can really cost you a lot of extra money in clothes, and machine repairs. If you notice mistakes happening frequently it may be time to pull aside your spouse and gently offer to take over the responsibility.

You accidentally left your new men’s sport watch in the pocket of your pants. Common sense says that as things are thrown into the washer a person quickly checks the pockets, but not her. Now your watch is wedged tightly in the lint trap of the dryer. You shudder as you think about what the charge for the repair is going to be. You really liked that watch.

After looking over the boots several times you are not sure that they will ever dry. The towels, being hearty and durable in nature, have survived. The delicates did not fair so well and she is making another trip to the mall.

He is proud of his handy work and refuses to admit that something has gone amiss. He is walking around in pink socks, because now all of the socks are pink. You have become convinced that she will die from a static electric shock. Since silk pajamas are for sleeping in, and fleece blankets are for sleeping with, they can be washed together, right? Wrong. You could power your home for several days on the results. She is still trying to pull the items apart.

She continues to insist that the cashmere sweater was always meant for the dog. That shade of blue complements the tint of her fur just right. You think briefly about how much you remember that sweater costing. Now it is time to pull her aside and offer to relieve her of the laundry, you will happily take over.
